Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)?

Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) is an approach to communication, personal development, and psychotherapy created by Richard Bandler and John Grinder in California, United States in the 1970s. NLP explores the relationships between how we think (neuro), how we communicate (linguistic) and our patterns of behaviour and emotions (programs).

The methods of neuro-linguistic programming are a set of tools, techniques and a methodology which explains that people are only able to identify a small part of the world using their conscious awareness, and that this view of the world is filtered by beliefs, values, experiences, and biological sensory systems. NLP argues that people act and feel based on their view of the world rather than the real world.

The "fast-track" style of psychotherapy which has increased in popularity, shares several principles with NLP. The idea is that, through NLP people can adopt more successful ways of thinking, communicating, feeling and behaving.
